Opportunity: To sell healthy food at a low cost and fast
pace. I thought of this opportunity because it appears as if society is more
health conscious now than they ever were before.
Product/Service: My idea to accommodate all healthy people
in society living a busy life is to have a food truck. Similar ingredients to “Vale”
and “Grill Fresh” in Gainesville, yet it would be out of a truck. The customer
would pick out of a few options their base, their vegetable, and their protein.
This idea is very similar to the healthy food restaurants in Gainesville and
other places, yet it is out of a food truck in a populated location. The food
truck will allow people working to drive by and grab some food very quickly.
Placing this food truck in cool environments also aids to the overall
experience. I believe the location of this food truck is very important because
it needs to be targeted at the younger working generation. I intend to sell the
healthy food and healthy drinks, like tea and protein shakes. People can use
this food truck as a meal or as a snack. My main focus will be millennials and
the health conscious people of society.

ReplyDeleteI'd love to know the hours of the food truck to see how convenient it would be for those that are up later in the night. Also, I would hope you'd build a strong social media for the food truck so you can let people know the location of the food truck via Facebook or maybe an app would be a great idea too.

Hi Amanda! I really love the food truck idea! I think healthy eating is going to be much more popular in our society and I think having a convenient source of healthy options readily available will be a hit with consumers. I know I would personally frequent the food truck if it was in my area because I am constantly searching for easy, grab and go healthy options.

ReplyDeleteIt is great that you narrowed it down to a main target audience! I think the younger generations are realizing how important it is to eat right. Also, I think Vale and Grill Fresh are very good places to eat. I like how it works similar to Chipotle, but healthy food. The fact you combine it with a food truck makes it appealing.

ReplyDeleteThe fact that the service provided will be a food truck definitely sets it apart from the other healthy food locations. I would suggest pairing it with a form of social media that would alert the public to any changes in location, should you decide to move the truck to a different side of campus, town, etc. Can’t wait to see you develop this further!
